Job Description:

Our student PhoneJacks get to connect with SDSU alumni to ask for current contact information, provide university updates, give donors an opportunity to support a cause they are passionate about, and thank those who have given.

Student callers will make telephone calls on behalf of the SDSU Foundation to alumni using a provided script and factsheets, and maintain accurate records of calls by documenting calls, pledges and comments. The caller will also independently respond to a variety of questions and field comments relating to SDSU from prospects. 

Expectations:

  • Must be a current SDSU student
  • Must have excellent spoken and written English
  • Must be able to read and speak clearly and concisely
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Good knowledge of SDSU
  • Reliable, enthusiastic and dedicated
  • Great attention to detail
  • Possess a great telephone manner
  • Confident, outgoing and friendly

Benefits:

Pay rate starts at $9.00 with raises each semester based on performance and evaluations. Callers receive prizes, weekly bonuses, play nightly games and work in a great environment! A scholarship opportunity is also available for a top performing caller.

This position provides valuable marketing and public relations experience that will enhance your resume and increase your chances of landing a great job upon graduation.

Hours:

Sunday, 1:30 – 5:00 and 5:30 – 9:00. Monday – Thursday, 5:30 – 9:00.

Must work 3 shifts each week with a Sunday shift required.
