That total raised in the Bold & Blue campaign is a testament to the depth of loyalty and generosity lavished upon South Dakota State University over a seven-year period. That’s what happens when 30,737 different donors step forward for a common cause.
As one donor so eloquently put it, he was “happy to be a drop in this ocean of generosity.”
While memories of that April 2024 reveal of the final total may fade over time, the impact will not.
The largest comprehensive campaign in the history of the Dakotas has already reshaped the university. The investments made will elevate students, faculty and staff for generations to come. In the case of the hundreds of endowments created, the impact will be permanent.
The deep gratitude for that historic response to an audacious half-billion-dollar goal has not waned either.
And our university is a greater place because of that “ocean of generosity.”
