Grace Weisser

Major

Nursing, Spanish

What motivates you to excel at SDSU?

My main motivation is knowing that what I do here at SDSU has the power to determine the direction and opportunities available to me for the rest of my life. This realization translates to my grades, ambition to double major and intense involvement on campus.

How does education help you reach your goals and aspirations?

My education at SDSU will help me develop the knowledge to pass my NCLEX, the tools to provide quality patient care as a nurse and the skills to proficiently speak the Spanish language. Together, the foundation I set at SDSU will allow me to achieve my dream of being a Nurse Without Borders.

How do scholarships impact your experience at SDSU and your future?

Without scholarships, there would be no feasible way I could afford to travel abroad or double major. Scholarships are the reason I am able to make my dream of being a Nursing/Spanish major who eventually becomes a Nurse Without Borders a reality. I cannot stress enough the appreciation I have after receiving a scholarship from SDSU's donors. Every penny now directly affects the direction of my life years down the road.
